Information base for foreign students selected the Czech university

(in English) The aim of bachelor thesis is an analysis of information base for foreign students at Czech University of Life Sciences. The theoretical part of the thesis describes situation of foreign students at universities, economical aspects of recruiting foreign students to higher education institutions and programs of mobility offered by Czech universities. Further the thesis deals with problematical definition of concept information need connected with information seeking behavior and types of information needs. Information needs of foreign students are identified by analyzing foreign user studies. In the end of the theoretical part services of universities and academic libraries for foreign students are characterized. The practical part is aimed to analyse information base for foreign students at Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. At the beginning of practical part Czech University of Life Sciences is briefly described with its history, offered programs of mobility and numbers of foreign students at university in recent years. The next part of the thesis presents services of university dedicated to foreign students - website in English language, Guide for international students and orientation week. Information support in the area of software simulators in medical education

(english) The subject of this thesis is the analysis of the development and use of medical simulators in terms of information support, basic description and introduction to the issue of medical training simulators themselves. The introduction describes the simulators since the beginning of the historical development to the current use. Subsequently, the work deals with manikin for patient simulators, the essential components, required for proper functioning, which are mathematical models on the background of the simulators. The chapter on repositories, describes the problems of model documentation and archiving of articles which describes the models. There are described reference managers for managing the literature and made a basic comparison of their features. The thesis focuses on a selected reference manager - Docear, which is described and used in the practical part. It deals with the organization of the scientific literature of Biomedical simulators in the Department of Biocybernetics and Computer Aided Teaching at the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University.
